StoreScout is a South African price comparison platform operating at storescout.co.za. We help South African consumers find the best prices across major retailers.

We collect:

• Email addresses — only when you voluntarily sign up for price alerts
• Search queries — anonymously, to improve our product database
• Usage data — pages visited, time on site, via Google Analytics (anonymised)

We do NOT collect payment information, identity documents, or sensitive personal information.

• To send price drop alerts you requested
• To improve our product database and search results
• To analyse site usage and improve user experience
• To comply with legal obligations

StoreScout earns commission when you click through to a partner store and make a purchase. This is how we fund the platform and keep it free. Affiliate links do not affect the prices you see or our recommendations.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share anonymised, aggregated data with analytics providers. Email addresses for price alerts are stored securely and never shared with third parties.

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Contact us at hello@storescout.co.za to exercise these rights.

Price alert email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Anonymous usage data is retained for 26 months per Google Analytics standards.

We use HTTPS encryption and secure database storage. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
